The Bike paths in Belgium or the knotpoint trails are exceptional for getting around on the riverside and farm land areas.
Before, when I first arrived a year ago , I rode on many of these trails and enjoyed it very much, then not doing it for a while, I forgot how special and cool they are. So the other day we set off and made a good ride near to the Schelde river and followed the path until we found a nice little old taverne, called t'schipperhuis. They serve a speciality like river eel in some green sauce I didnt try it yet but was advised its nice I would probably like it.
anyway the bike routes here are still great and if you come to visit you should try riding in the rural areas using the ringknot system and you wont be let down by the scenery and the next corner for what it might offer.
