I am delighted to extend a warm and exciting night this year at our house to welcome in the 2012 new year. We are featuring a menu and drinks to please even the pickiest of tastes. The attire is dress-up with hats for the men and head pieces for the ladies.

I had my first ever root canal today, actually only half of it. I had a perfect tooth yet through constant grinding I disattached the root from the tooth causing a sterile dead tooth, a painful but sterile problem, but then after we(the dentist and i) talked last month, I still had pain problems and all at once I took matters into my own hands and gave my self a nice pre treatment attempt of relieving the pain, I inserted a tool and pushed until the tooth sheard a nice square piece off and then I proceeded to investigate with another tool extracting gum pulp light yellow in color and kind of plaque-like in texture, actually not having more pain than I was already in so I continued making a nice whole in the middle of my tooth. But after rinsing and brushing I had'nt eliminated my pain but perhaps in hind sight slightly magnified it. But that was ok because I knew I would see the dentist today. Not so sterile after all.. hee HOo. I heard that tooth pain is even more volatile than gi

As of yet. I have been mildly facinated with the orchid but I can never seem to profit from a second bloom. UNTIL NOW . We have been tending to our orchids and finally the stem is active in pursuit for the sky and low and behold there are even buds forming I cant wait to see what happens next.

Its official... The sight of my breathe as I woke up this day wasnt taken lightly. I tossed and turned to gleen more warmth but it krept away making my feet very cold, and causing a mule type of side wiping movements to recapture some warmth. it ended with me springing out of bed and ina mad dash attempting to clothe myself I relocated to the other room AQAP, so that I could adjust the thermometer and then I realized it was already self adjusted to provide the base heat at 15° in the living room;;; Our bedroom hasnt had the window shut ,or the radiators on EVER !!! The fresh air is good admittedly but shit man its cold.

I finally made it to Turkey and it was fabulous, warm, yummy, comfortable, and een beetje lux. I went to Side, in the south on the Mediterranean Sea, an ancient ruin. pretty cool especially since the ruins faced the sea practically the best view in the world if you like water... LIKE I DO. Apollo and Athena where pretty lucky, But then later not so lucky actually.... Nice to have a slice of antiquity. especially on a warm beautiful 8 day vacation. xoxo m

It is October. the techni-color dance of leaves begins. where is my apple or pumpkin pie. what about the warm apple cider and carmel apples, Horse carriage rides and gourds lining the house fronts. Somewhere else I guess. stay warm stay dry drink lots of water and dont dwell to hard. its only 6 months of shite.... M

Cold winds a blowin, sing songs a howlin. The weather is raw the weather is king. Shorter days knocking at the door. remembrances of yesteryear, the good old days, realizing they are permanently gone and that it will never be the same state again. Its a great schedule this year. I am slammed in the middle of the week but that's it. I love my hours and everything is functioning ok. I had a 2 week reward massage this morning and It was great. for all very relaxing, I feel good. Lately I have been suffering from Back pain the type that is like pins and needles with a little extra heat. its not nice but I make it through. constant adjusting and moving around. Take care M

I love going to work , working at work and leaving work. Not bad. I have a decent commute, at least there are things to see... the farmers harvesting sugar beet and potatoes now Bumper crops actually. very good season. I can see fields of food waiting for their time. I can see small villages competing with the BIG city of Brussels near by. I actually like the small roads and bus lines, fewer cars. Other than that The part about working at work comes naturally for me. I guess I was born to be a teacher. I stand in front of the class and that perfect fit feeling comes over me and I think about how ideal my job is for me. the job of the teacher. and then of course there is the coming home, satisfaction behind the back and on to something else.... also a great part of working ha ha. I was their, made a great effort and came out with-out certification but a lot learned anyway..... It's a bit disappointing but I can't regret it I tried hard and took the initiative to be the best student I could be. Moving on ..... The house is clean a fresh for the begin of the school year, just my work paper mountains need to be dealt with, clear out the old lesson plans and write new ones. Its getting easier except Now I have a brand new class to teach Modules 9-10, so of course there is extra material involved that I MUST have, purchase or find? Monday and Tuesday we speak about politics then Wednesday begins the exams and they continue into Thursday, there are 5 exams in total, (Vocab), (grammar), (reading texts) and (writing texts) and (listening then speaking with partners). wat bedoel je. Fit in your head, ok then . Since I have returned from Poland I havent wanted to blog until now. The good newsz is that I havent got to much to say but here it is anyway. I started my summer Dutch classes and BOY OH BOY Are thye a kick in the ass? I mean Hard as hell but also I will learn a lot, or less than a lot, but at any rate I WILL LEARN. PLus the best news is I started, as promised, my fitness routine and I am stiff and sore and in a bit of emotional and physical pain for the stark realization of what I have become over the last 1.5 years. Being a stagnate over eating, tightly wound chic that lost control of what wasnt really controlable but yet in the hands of only myself. MY WEIGHT. DUDE I was actually bigger in the past but This is more than enough. Anyway 4 super lessons in fat burning and vermageren and bewijgeren I love sweating my balls off. It is a perfect escape from the intense schooling and Hopefully I will start seeing the results not just feeli

Very delighted to be hitting the road again with B it will be a great journey as always with us. the road is our friend and travel is our conversation. the grandest of all talks. We will be leaving from Brussels and heading through Germany near Berlin and then on towards the Baltic Sea and on TUESDAY WE WILL ARRIVE in Poland's Northern bord West Pomeranian, then continue onto Pomeranian, then Warmian-Masurian and finally Podlaskie as well as other sections when we drive home. We bought new Binoculars to view the mighty forest bison. I am thrilled to see him there. other news as it happens! xo M

DUDE a huge festival well organized but long walks and bus rides to shuffle the masses. BUT good plenty of fun a bit pricey but a lot of fun.

This weekend I am going to the Ardennes with the family but B is going to a bachelor party in France. Oh goody. any way today I take a huge step in the weight-loss program of melisa, I will pay my money and begin lessons in the evening to sweat and reduce fat. My motivation alone is not good enough, I like to be with a group its a competition thing. anywhoo. going to the center today to set up a schedule. I'm not sure but I think I have a manageable goal of 12.7 Kilos, You all have to do the math if you'd like to know in pounds. It sounds horrible. In Pounds. that's another good thing about living in Europe weight-loss seems easier in Kilos than Pounds. xox wish me lots of weight loss

Its official I have finished this 2010-2011 school year and even have chocolates to celebrate with. The next big obstacle is tomorrow when and where I receive the results. Oh bloody hell I am tired of waiting. I have a plan whether the news is good or whether it's bad. GO to the Cafe and DRINK in celebration or complete denial? Hey at least I have a plan. This diploma assists me with the next leg in August for the highest diploma, the meal ticket I need. Any way incoherent ramblings are my thing. xo M

whoohoo (boo who) that means summer is here but it also means every day from now on will be shorter. and summer temperatures should be arriving and less rain should be here. but this is all based on a climate system that has endured lots of change and is still in process of change. What to do with good ole mother nature.? Well here is my tip for the future take each day as it happens and dont forget to invest in the future and dont get hung up on the past because your are not going that direction. and remain positive and believe in humanity especially when they live in other countries than the one you live in. xo m

The coast was warm but the water was not what I like to swim in. Actually I can factually say that the water in the NORTH Sea is the filthiest water I have ever swam in. I lived in the south of India for a brief spell and swam in the canal off the Malabar coast of south-west India, between Ernakulam and Kochi and the water was very polluted but I never had stained brown jewelry or bathing suits after swimming in Kerala. The heavy pollutants in the North see are evidence that our waters are in critical danger and must be protected better. any way the wind was super and my lady friends and I flew a kite. and Boy did she fly!! she was a bit shy to fly high in the sky at first with a few attempts and plummeting straight back to Earth with a crippling crash this appeared life threatening to our little kite but shim lasted and survived. pictures later about our little flyer. You 're like me this year and going to summer school. arrgghh I am still in the lessons at Etterbeek (Brussels)learning Dutch and then exams and exams and then an enterance exam on July 29th for class which begin August 1 till 31 in Leuven. ARRGGGHHH . I am tired of going to school. I need a teacher like me to help me get through. too bad I cant insta--clone myself for a study partner. That would be super. The school year is ending in a flash and I have my bundles nearly 90 percent ready for the administration of my students. This means all the documents that support them in their learning process, like evaulations feedback grades and strategies and attitudes. Basically a lot of paper blah blah. But the best part is I am nearly finished. This image is a bit political in the sense that it is our governing body of elected people, Where there is and hasn't been a unanimous decision made in over three years. Thus making Belgium the longest no governmental country in the World. Strange I know. The battles of weather: isnt it rare isnt it unique how, wherever one is there will always be battles over the weather. Too rainy, too cold, too snowy, too dry, too da lee too da loo. Some how some where, with two great people I know, the stars came together and created a magical nebulous relationship that formed into a long lasting marriage. I cant say for how long it will last but I know this much for sure, When things interact and people maintain commitments and the longer we are together the more difficult it is to break apart. In essence the growth of two, fuses into one. THUS making it dangerous for the existence of the parts to eliminate there counterparts. I guess what I really am getting at, is if your are lucky enough to make the connection and maintain it for decades and decades and decades. YOU had better give praise to the efforts and the everlasting work that it required to keep it, and appreciate that fact that its not so common........... I love you Parents! WOW Does this feel good or what? The last remaining weeks at Gltt have been a marvel of me actually being prepared ahead of time and relaxing. We love Ghent so much that we went, two weekends in a row and actually 3 weekends in 4 weeks, for fun social outtings;;;;;COOL MAN. What a rocking town. Full of life, a superb place to meet and greet our people!!!!! We love shopping in Ghent too. I finally took care of the last remaining items for my sweet B, He got a super nice Peugeot pepper mill that he wanted and I am in the clear now for gifts to him. Here's the thing; I have plants that require water and newly planted ones too, which means a bit of rain would make my job of watering disappear. We are very lucky Here in België It is marvelous the warm and sunny weather abounding for us. we are delighted to enjoy the vitamin D as we are all facing a deficiency. Let it be spring let it shine so bright!! happiness from Europe. M

The High Bogs or Fens of Belgium are the Hoge Venen. This is a special area with a very different environment to the rest of Belgium. The Signal de Botrange is the highest point in Belgium at 694 metres (2,277 ft). There is Baroque Frituur and Baroque Michel Two winter recreation areas great for light walks in the spring. There was a 1000 hectare fire just after I visited Hoge Venen and it is thus far the largest fire in history there. NO it wasn't me. If you get the change to discover the Hoge Venen on a beautiful spring day you really will be lucky for the views of the high fens or bogs.

Ready for some non harmful rays then slather on the SPF 50 and head outside today for some lovely radiation.

I have a bit of congestion, pretty sure its from our littlest friend in the family after all we did have a sleep over and then the day after I was sick. no worries were the bug comes from as long as I can kick it before CAMPING my favorite thing in the world to do.... There is a positive and refreshing Big Red Wind coming to Belgium. No this is not a phenomena of Climate change or nuclear fallout- well actually it could very well be both. but on an indirect path really. I am glad that I don't have to intensively water my newly planted bulbs and such because THEY are down our fireman spiral staircase in the back yard and I would have to take a bucket and a watering can. The rain is welcome but not to much. Today I will bike a little and correct homework and then Tomorrow I am going to Brussels for a visit. buds sprouts color and birds; the life seems to have returned and we had a fab week of pre-spring weather. The longer days brings active feelings for taking advantage of the light and making good use of the energy that seems to flow-over from having longer days. Yesterday I made a terrific Ronde Wallonie bike ride a nice 40 kilometer journey along the chanel leaving Halle heading south. and then In Lembeek, the Home of the Lambik beer and Gueze, we stopped for some tasty old goodness. the liquid of life love M

IS FUN I have a whole collection of new things to plant and hopefully in the summer i have beautiful flowers like gladiolas dahlias iris lily montbretia fabiolas etc etc. COOL HUH? I have to wait a little longer before some tubers get planted because of the chance of frost... but thats ok. I have a nice long bed perfect for some new color.

The warmth of the day and the light of the sun have great effect over the feelings and regeneration properties of the living. sometimes the days of spring sun seem to never end, as with the cool days of the winter too. But the way we feel and react to the vital light is indeed like growing not like hardly even metabolizing. I am glad to have a week off but, I would like to be active and so far I cant seem to find any programs to go to or events that fit my week off. I have a ton of free cultural cheques but have unsuccessfully registered or used them. what a pity free entertainment and I cant find a good match. I will get ahead in my teaching lessons and then relax. Today I took care of all the laundry and I had the house open and freshened up with the perfect weather for cleaning and drying clothes on the line. Now its Monday night and ml y house is clean and ready to enjoy my week off. Carnaval was a real treat with a terrific group of friends to enjoy and have a real laugh with. The Carnaval Festival In Aalst is a political float of extreme choice and brilliant preparation into outfitting an event. great work to all the participants 70 entrys. The costumes are incredible and the crowds are fantastic. this is a week long event that has deep tradition and is still conducted in nearly the same fashion. take care more about later
