Melt with Me

Hiya wonderful world.. I am at work after 12.5 hours of slow times.. Business is not very good when nobody shops well not exactly nobody but very few people and the weather is a big factor for the clientele here at the lagoon.. Anyway I did my laundry yesterday.. big day of domestic work.. .. wow talk about terrific news I am providing you .. Yeah I know pretty boring stuff well.. sorry folks.. OK here is not a boring episode.. I have been living in a room with only ladies for over one month and a half.. a six berth room.. three sets of kids bunk beds.. well that was room 52 ,, I quite enjoyed that room . because I was the longest resident and it was basically my room . the elder of the bunch, but then . a large group of Americans came to the Backpackers for a two night sleep over heading to Cape Tribulation .. well, I was relocated.. that wasn't so bad but this is where it gets interesting .. I had to live right next to the front door, luckily on the bottom bunk.. this was alright...

Greetings from hot tropical Queensland, and man is it hot.. I basically sweat vigorously whilst working at the lagoon and I generally love it .. but when its hot its uncomfortable.. oh well tomorrow is my day offski.. I am going to relax in the sun with factor 90 on - and not get a sun burn like 87% off the humans here .. always getting sunburnt to a crisp. silly and foolish all day long.. booom boom an't it great to be crazy. they dont celebrate many holidays here like halloween, why celebrate one day when many of the people here are spooky the whole year . ha ha .. dont take that the wrong way ozzies. Theres no thanksgiving.. no pilgrims landed here.. HA HA I think they have big old Barbies for dec 25 and easter and things like that... bbq that is the ozzie staple.. what your celebrating something, lets throw meat on the barbie.. yep.. \ I had a falafel kebab burrito thang the other night it was quite nice.. they dont have mexican resturants like i am used to .. man I mi...

work like a dog play like a dog, I am getting an overwhelming bored feeling about this place and it is even presenting a strange aw of homesickness, I have been polling a bunch of travelers and they all agree.. whether they are working here a long time or visiting for a couple weeks or just arrived three days ago.. this is what I figured out: a phenomena in Australia that is misleading and it all starts with the massive market for backpackers and budgets travelers to stay in hostels and backpackers places. Well here goes.. maybe many people who come here truly are backpackers or flashpackers or are used to getting around by the direction that the lonely planet advises and maybe they are intrepid enough to throw out the books and just go with the flow.. but the biggest problem here is the freakishly large commercialization that is rampant for tour booking and travel arrangements... it is crazy.. that is why I am so overwhelmed. plus the cost and price point of things is absolutely ridic...

time is moving faster and faster, for this we have very little clue other than the grey hairs and the feelings we conjure.. Funny how dyed my hair mahoganny two days ago and some how i still have a ton of grey hair peaking out. i purchased the maximum grey coverage and Only have 1 inch hair how is that possible.. funny nonetheless. the weather has been windy 25-30 knots and cloudy rainy skies, I like it but .. business suffers when there are no people to buy ice creams. basically boring at the lagoon. have a good week take care. love melisa

there is a fall like appearance in the weather, making me feel like autumn is here. but I know that summer is here (Cairns) southern hemisphere and autumn is where I am from .. I bet the leaves are beautiful and the smell in the air is wonderful, with its crisp appeal and frosty overtones. Reminiscing is all i have, the amazing beauty that Oregon offers: My Family, My Friends My People My Place. It is good to travel but somehow the autumn-time reconfirms the ebb and flow of life. As well, the cold winter that lurks and the aging process. even though i am not subjected to the season of autumn somehow i still feel the same and have a longing for my people and home. I know that home is where the heart is but usually mine is like all of ours in our chest, but lately mine is far away.

Hi People, Howzit goin' I am at my place of work and taking a wee break to communicate to you all.. I have started to ponder the traveling road, the road which sees no familar faces, the road that leads no common ways, the road that constantly delivers a new direction, this is great and all but.. the familiarity is desired at this juncture of my journey. You know the recognizable face that you have a connection with deaper than a few beers at the local crazy bar, oh not to mention the ability to remember names from your long time mates. The spring has come and it is 34 degrees outside.. I mean is it darn hot, holy shnikies.. I am so happy, as a bonus I am going to a professional basketball game tomorrow night.. front row courtside tickets with 3 of my co workers and a mate of ours. at the cairns convention center, The Cairns taipans are playing the Melbourne tigers.. We should Be nice and root for the home team so .. Maybe I will .. Here is something funny, "root".. means Sex or want to have sex.. only here in australia maybe in Newzealand as well.. you all back home wouldnt believe the languages here, not hearing these people and there slang is a big miss out. but I will keep you posted. ok then ..
