TOTALLY FANTASTIC, THE TULLY RIVER WAS GREAT, ONLY 16 OR SO KILOMETERS BUT WHAT A SCENIC WICKED SPOT. THE VEGETATION IS RAIN FOREST TYPE WITH BIG LEAVE AND DENSE COVER, THE WATER WAS CLEAR AND CRISP.. THE RIVER FLOW IS DIRECTLY FROM THE HYDROLOGIC DAM FLOWS THAT KEEP THE RIVER AT CONSTANT RAFTING LEVELS. YESTERDAY THE WATER WAS SUPERB TONS OF WHITE WATER LITERALLY CUBIC TONS. I SAW AN EEL, AND LOTS OF LITTLE FISH AND SOME ALRIGHT SIZED PERCH MAYBE .5 KG BUT PRETTY, LOTS OF ULYSSES BUTTERFLIES AND HERONS AND TROPICAL BIRDS LIKE LAURAKEETS. LOVELY SPECIES.

cheers mates. and happy times.. no workin for me tomorrow going out to the tully river for some fun in the sun and swimming and rafting .. sounds great.. the weather has gotten hotter since i have arrived here in Cairns 20 days ago.. Nearly one month and I am still here, I fly to New Zealand on the 30th of November to have a great christmas and New year in the south island.. But until then.. I am hanging around this alright place in Cairns.. I am ready for a new change of scenery but I found a cute job and like it so I am sticking around here for a little more.. feeling great. Hi there grand world. I am great but tired and blisters on the feet. oh well that is what i get for not having an actual job for over 2 years.. My feet haven't been in proper shoes for a very long time.. so that is that woes, of my time now.. pretty minimal eh'. I am really enjoying my co-workers, Karry from Scotland and Tony from Edinburgh, how do you spell that.. oh well.. and me.. the one with no accent even though people say i have the strongest accent.. bazaar.. Life is good. I will stay up here get a few things accomplished for the diving fun that I sought out for.. I found a free training but it is a 45 day on boat experience.. with 70$ per day credit towards diving instructor includes dive master.. i am looking into it.. Here is how it all went down. I was staying at the asylum but now I am staying at Calypso, better nicer cleaner, with fun and of course more money we are certainly not SE Asia anymore. damn it. the days of the 5 dollar guest house are far behind but potentially in the future. So daily I walk maybe 10-15 kilometers and well it is not very hot here yet and so it is enjoyable.. but soon the weather will be changing and the heat wave will hit and then.. what a bugger. til then.. times are grand. I didn't really get on to well with Cairns when I first arrived but now times are changing. I have a cute little coffee shop that sells sweets and towels and maps and ice cream, blah blah _ well I have bought my coffees in there for this past 10 days and today when I walked in and bought my coffee, I saw the sign i was waiting for... HELP wanted. perfect for me.. cute small .. busy .. beautiful people in bathing suits coming in, walking by, sunbathing and swimming right there. full on .. Locati...

I made it out of the Asylum for a perfect 24 hour stint, up the road in the rental car I went.. I drove to Port Douglas.. CUTE Town.. then onward north to Cape Tribulation. Fantastic Daintree Rainforest drive, windy road and wow.. The beaches,. Lovely. Ahh Finally I went swimming interesting .. a little fun fact.. that every where in Australia I am 10 feet away from something that can kill me.. Snakes, Cassowary birds, sharks, crocodiles, odd rodents, and on and on .. I find it interesting .. swimming today was good but, I was always thinking about the advertisement just at the beach trail head that warns of massive stingers, we call them jelly fish. they also provide a bottle of vinegar to pour on the wounds.. love this place.. kindof.. any way I have to leave this Internet station so .. look up cape tribulation, and come take a visit.. being a newbie to OZ, I am picking up the slang and learning the vernacular. Goon is the Backpackers Delight. Cheap, mediocre-alcohol-content, good ole' wine in a box. But there is a odd bonus. Goon, has bits of fish, milk and nut products in it used as a stabilizer for the lining in the bag inside the box, thus the youth Backpacking community thinks there are drinking a fishy, nutty milk drink mixed with wine.. sounds terrific right// Hilarious, I know.. Any way .. Goon is pouring daily here in Australia but they don't start selling it before 4 pm daily due to the nature of the drunkard. Like I said in some previous blogs, drinking is rampant. the bottom line is that the world is totally full of people taking all kinds of libations to the extent of brain damage and disorderly conduct. I just read an article pertaining to the mental health of the Australian, drinking population.. there headed for big brain loss problems and unforeseen health issues later.. BUT.. Live for now.. ...

If One can manage to arise up from bed while it is still morning ( before 12) even though they have arrived back to what they call home very early in the morning (5) them.. wow.. what a run.. but if not. there are a lot of wasted hours sleeping and a stop of wisdom as with the mentality here .... when the beers and goon stop flowing everything else is a waste of time according to the backpacker phenomena that I am subjected too. the people love to get bent,sloshed,knackered,pissed,wasted, F-#&* Up, slammed,trodden, BLAH BLAH crazy talk .. Needless to state, this is a complete bullshit waste of time for me.. I am being annihilated with subjection, But As a good girl I spent the night last night (of course) entering every dance competition there was and having a blast whilst not drinking anything.. what a go... plus I might have landed few bar jobs.. but .. I will refuse them.. do to the nature of the employment.. WITH ALL THE DRINKING MADNESS.. Any way .. I am Here for one reason a...
