october and its spooky jack o lanterns

damp chill slight spice smell Oh what a delight. October has a certain negative feeling for me-- I feel old and even sad .... its the transition month for me.. I reflect and ponder the youth. I miss my loved ones and long for simpler times. the truth is. that the cycle of life is punctuated in time and especially when we have seasons that assist in the solidification of memories and time.

the wind rustles the leaves and even though they are beautiful oxblood red, they form around the base of the spiral staircase in the back. I see the naked branches they have been swept away from and hope that a few can stay . It is October. the techni-color dance of leaves begins.

where is my apple or pumpkin pie. what about the warm apple cider and carmel apples, Horse carriage rides and gourds lining the house fronts.

Somewhere else I guess.

stay warm stay dry drink lots of water and dont dwell to hard. its only 6 months of shite....

my lovely friend... i'll make u pumpkin pie... and warm apples! let's eat hot dogs with gloves on, go to the christmas market for gluhwein and watching people skate on ice, the old with the young ones, let's drink hot chocolate with rhum in a forest full of warm colors (i now a good place, on the roof of an old stadium, in between the trees!!)

let's stay happy and warm - wear warm sweaters, walk with music...

without the darkness, we wouldn't be able to see the christmas lights!! xx
