Thailand is Calm in the north again. The people came for SongKran and left. I like this town better now.Chiang mai, Less Travelers, the tourist type. I am happy I went For a swim in a nice hotel, I am not staying at but I paid 150 baht to have a nice relaxing time.. I am leaving tomorrow For Pai, up farther North. I will have to exit Thailand To get a new Visa. I am Happy to move out and see more rural aspects, Packing today and tonight On a bus at 10 in the morning. peace and Calm, love Melisa

as the Festival Vibe simmers down, the energy is still very good almost refreshed. I love this festival . I am so Glad I came to it. I want to make it an anniversary trip. Totally awesome. After Drinking Thai Whiskey and Dancing the night away for many nights, I decided to end that last day of the festival, With Some very Tasty Guinness and mix it up a bit.. I am very glad I found Guinness on Draught, Very tasty and nutty and somehow calming .. funny i know.. Any way I am happy and healthy. I just had my First Thai Massage.. I have had plenty of oil, foot, head massage in Thai But this is what the Thai masseur is known for.. Wow.. I was bent, pulled, sat on, kicked, rubbed and then I was asked to pay .. HA HA .. I loved it. very good.

I ate maggots, flies, ants and other crunchy bits of insects. and you know what... It was very tasty, i mean really good, So far, i absolutely love Thailand, I am feeling so young even though I am at least 5 years older than all of the travelers I have been meeting up with.. I like me. Ok, The hill tribe of long neck ladies, interesting and exploited, I felt Awkward. SongKran happy water Festival happy new year.. more later. Love Melisa

Well everything is as it should be, My brain has completely forgotten the western calendar and schedule, I had no idea it was Easter, anyway, for celebration I will go eat some very odd eggs. Tomorrow I head to the Mekong river which borders Laos, Myanmar, and Thailand, this area is know as the golden triangle, I will be happy to see some jungle and other hill tribes. My wake up call is scheduled for 6:30 am do you think they will get me on time, lets hope so. short entry but sweet.

Sawadee Ya~ late night fun caught up with me, after I asked for a wake up call at 8 am, for a tour that was departing at 830, plenty of time to brush my teeth, wash my face, and clothe myself, yeah well it would have been... The person who gave my wake up knock on my door decided to call at 827,,,, perfect... So anyway after that, I flew and made a good entry right on time.. I took a tour today and it was lovely. Over one hour drive north of Chiang Mai, nice hills and mountain area with pine trees. yep good old Pine trees line the peaks and hill tops. I love them. My favorite place today, which brought a few tears to my eyes was the Phra Maha That Chedi Nabhamethanidon- Nabhabolbhumisiri, never mind this just go here This place is very nice I recommend it, built as gifts for the King and Queen of Thailand. alos on the tour Interesting waterfalls and contemporary 200 year old Karen Villages. Who really knows how happy they will be when they arrive into a new place and find themselves in a new environment? Beats me.. But I am loving Thailand. I already know I will be back to this country. I can tell, the environmental resonance creates a harmonious head space for me. I love this place. I love Buddhists, I walked by ten temples already today and its only 3:19 pm. the journey is the most important part of the life we lead.. please enjoy the place you are in and if it is not making you happy then you need to make the proper adjustments to facilitate the new changes in your life. SawadeesHa ~ Hi people of the world.. I am loving Thailand. Had an awesome 16 hour train ride, they left late. but I had two Sing Ha's and some fried beans with corn and I was set. I love the train. The best ride Ever. I slept like a baby n a nice size bed complete with sheets ad pillow and mattress and blanket. granted the Ac was on High so I could have used another blanket but all in all. 100 % great. I made it to my room in a guest house at 12:30 today April 6Th, I have pink sheets and a balcony .. nice for a girl like me. I will be going to all the antique shops around here, believe me .,. You can find almost anything, I am seeking and sniffing the old Shawnee trail, If I find a piece, I will pretty much pay what ever its marked.. but everything else we dicker and haggle until an agreement is found./ Thanks ทำสรหฟ
